Promising New Found Footage ‘Altar’ Arrives Next Month

Altar movie

Altar has been gaining a little steam among the horror community. It’s another found footage flick that pits a small group of friends directly in the path of peril. It doesn’t sound wildly original, but if word-of-mouth holds any weight, the execution of the film is excellent and the impression is memorable. Fortunately for horror fans, we’ll be able to formulate our opinions soon, as Movie Heroes Studios and Distribber have partnered to make the flick available this July.

Matthew Sconce writes and directs.

Stefanie Estes, Tim Parrish, Brittany Falardeau, Jessica Strand and Deep Rai star.

Here’s some valuable info from the official press release:

Movie Heroes Studios has partnered with Distribber for the nationwide VOD release of Matt Sconce’s Altar.  A group of old friends take a trip down memory lane in the Sierra Nevadas which ends in a bloody fight for survival.  Since its premiere at the Northern Virginia International Film Festival, Altar has picked up almost two dozen awards on the festival circuit, including 4 for Best Feature, 2 Best Actress Awards for Stefanie Estes and 2 for Best Director.  After a limited theatrical release, Altar is now available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Xbox, PlayStation Network, and on Hulu as of July 1st.
