In Light of the Developing ‘Child’s Play 7’ We’re Ranking the Entire Franchise from First to Worst!
Child’s Play
1-10 Rating Scale: 9.3
The Verdict: The first is always the best, right? Well, not always. But in this case, Chuck was definitely enjoying some of his most paralyzing moments, and I can really dig that. The story is cohesive, the effects are enjoyable and Brad Dourif immediately wins us all over with that creepy voice! Don Mancini’s franchise launch is the greatest “killer doll” movie in existence.
Synopsis: When Charles Lee Ray needs to get quick escape from cop Mike Norris, he takes his soul and buries it into playful, seemingly good guy doll Chucky. Little does he know a little boy by the name of Andy Barclay will be the new owner of him soon-to-come. Charles confides in Andy while he commits numerous murders. Once the adults accept Andy’s story as truth, it’s too late.
