In Light of the Developing ‘Child’s Play 7’ We’re Ranking the Entire Franchise from First to Worst!
Curse of Chucky
1-10 Rating Scale: 9.2
The Verdict: After a few comically driven franchise entries Don took the story back to its darker, far less humorous roots, and it was a brilliant success. Arguably the greatest sixth installment of any genre franchise, Curse of Chucky was an eerie affair that invoked some unexpected emotional responses as a result of depositing the picture’s heroine in a wheelchair. The look of Chucky isn’t the best we’ve seen, but technically speaking, the rest of this bad ass movie make up for that shortcoming.
Synopsis: After the events of Seed of Chucky, Nica, a young woman forced to a wheelchair since birth, has to regroup her sister, Barb and her brother-in-law, Ian for a funeral after the death of her mother. While dealing with Barb, Ian, along with their 5-year-old daughter, Alice; Nica receives an odd package – a creepy doll. After people start showing up dead, the fearless Nica soon suspects that the creepy doll is much more than just a doll.
